TagEverything

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 28, 2026

1. Local-First Data Storage

Your privacy is built into the architecture of TagEverything. By default, all information you add to your tags—including voice notes, text descriptions, and item details—is stored locally on your iPhone. This ensures that your personal inventory remains private and accessible only to you.

2. Optional iCloud Sync

For users who wish to back up their data or sync their labels across multiple Apple devices, we offer the option to store your tag data in your personal iCloud account. This is entirely optional; TagEverything does not maintain its own central database of your tagged items, ensuring you retain full ownership of your data.

3. AI Assistant & Image Privacy

When you use the AI Assistant to decode washing instructions, identify ingredients, or suggest matching outfits, the photo is processed securely via Google Vertex AI. These images are used only for the duration of that specific identification session and are not linked to any personal identity, nor are they used by TagEverything or Google to train AI models. No images are permanently stored on any cloud server.

4. Australian Privacy Compliance

As a Melbourne-based company, we strictly adhere to the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. We believe in providing the accountability you expect from a local partner.

5. Third-Party Services

TagEverything utilizes Google Vertex AI for image analysis. By using the AI features, you acknowledge that anonymized image data is transmitted to Google for processing. We do not share your name, location, or any identifying metadata with this service. You can disable AI features at any time by not using the image upload feature within the app.
